
I have always suffered from weight problems, all my life. Going back and forth between the 80 - 120 kgs zone, my body has become more of an accordion. I have tried all the different diets you can ever imagine. Yoghurt diets, fruit diets, south beach diet, atkins, starvation...you name it. Some of them worked, most of them didn't.
Anyhow, I recently decided to go at it again, and start going to the gym, and eating healthy. I went yesterday to the supermarket and bought some cereal and milk. I was very excited about it. Haven't had cereal in a while. I pour some into the bowl, milk and all. Sat down in front of my TV, and start chomping. The initial taste was amazing, I have to say, then it started tasting like a mixture of blood and iron.
I look at the bowl, and there they are, swimming, dead..trying to make it out of there, a thousand ants. For a second there, I was like wow, I've just eaten a horrendous number of ants, and they didn't taste that bad.
I think it's an omen. My first step towards a healthier me, and I kick it off with an amazing bowl of ants. Must be that new protein diet everybody's talking about!
